Fresh Dried Premium Gammarus Schrimps 3L

These are Fresh dried premium Gammarus Schrimps with high content of protein.

Typical content :

- +/- 47% protein

- +/- 8% fat

- +/- 8% moisture

- +/- 7% fibre

- +/- 13% ash

The dried Gammarus schrimps are given to beetle larvae who need additional protein to successfully complete their growth cycle.

It is said beetle larvae like Goliathus cannot be bred without this additional protein. Many other species are reported to give much bigger adults.

Can be stored up to 2 years. Recommend use within 12 months of purchase.

The use of Gammarus is similar to the silkworm cocoons or silkworm cocoon powder.

The advantage of the schrimps is you can easily see if they are eaten or not.

The disadvantage is they do smell "fish" like.  If you don't have a seperate beetle breeding room this can be annoying.

Alternatively you can give the shrimps to turtles, koi, tropical fish, frogs and newts, as well as birds.
